Many schools, not just Title 1 schools, could benefit from increased parent engagement, especially in largely Hispanic districts across this country. Tierno shows how parents can help their children advance in school and in their academic studies at home. She also explores how parents can take action and the kinds of connections they can make with educators, administrators, school board and teachers, each group is very important to making sure our children are well educated.
